The movie is based in modern dan Manhatten, where the master sorcerer Balthazar Blake (played by Nicolas Cage) is trying to protect the city from his enemy Maxim Horvath (played by Alfred Molina).

But Balthazar can not defeat his enemy alone and must enlist the help of an apprentice, Dave Stutler (played by Jay Baruchel). Dave learns a bit of magic from Balthazarand together they must struggle against the evil that is Maxim’s character.

Alice in Wonderland is an upcoming fantasy adventure film directed by Tim Burton.The film will use a technique combining live action and animation. Mia Wasikowska plays the role of Alice, alongside Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as The Red Queen, Anne Hathawayas The White Queen, Crispin Glover as The Knave of Hearts, Michael Sheen as the white rabbit and Stephen Fry as The Cheshire Cat.

Alice Kingsley, now 19, attends a party at a Victorian estate shortly after the death of her beloved father. Alice spots a white rabbit wearing a waistcoat and pocket watch. In shock and confusion, she runs off into a maze and follows the White Rabbit through it. She eventually tumbles down a rabbit hole into Underland, more commonly referred to as "Wonderland" by its inhabitants.

She had visited this place 10 years earlier, but had entirely forgotten about it. She is also told that she is the only one who can slay the Jabberwock, the dragon who terrorizes the inhabitants of Wonderland under the rule of the Red Queen.

It will be released in the U.S and UK on March 5, 2010 through Walt Disney Pictures in Disney Digital 3-D and IMAX 3-D, as well as in regular theaters

Last year, Disney's Friends for Change made a splash with the single "Send It On," which featured Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and the Jonas Brothers, and climbed up the digital charts with 100% of the proceeds benefitting Disney's Project Green. Now they'll make a wave with a duet between "Camp Rock 2" stars Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato titled "Make a Wave."

The track, which features the lyrics "just a pebble in the water can set the sea in motion, a simple act of kindness can stir the deepest ocean," is scheduled to debut on Radio Disney on February 26th.

The video will premiere on Disney Channel on March 14th, with the track hitting iTunes on March 15th. All proceeds will again benefit the environmental charities working with Disney on their Worldwide Conservation Fund. "Send It On" has raised over $500,000 for conversation projects since it was released last year.

"Make a Wave" will also be featured in the upcoming Disney film "Oceans," a follow-up to last year's "Earth." The second film released under Disneynature films, Disney will also make contributions to conservation funds from every ticket sold to "Oceans." "Oceans" hits theaters on Earth Day, April 22nd.

The Last Song had originally been scheduled for a January 8, 2010 release, but on September 22, 2009 it was announced the release had been delayed until April 2, 2010.The delay was confirmed by statements from representatives for Disney and Cyrus, one of whom said "Easter weekend/spring break" would be a "better release date than January" for the film.On February 3, 2010, it was announced the film's release had been pushed up by two days, and is currently scheduled for release on March 31, 2010.

Miley Ray Cyrus' groundbreaking Disney Channel series Hannah Montana has finally been canceled after years of speculation. Disney confirmed to the New York Post on Friday that Hannah Montana begins shooting its fourth and final season Jan. 18, concluding this summer.
Hannah Montana's season three finale 'Is Miley Saying Goodbye?' airs in mid-March. Disney Channel executive Andy Bonnett said: 'It's one of the things [her character Miley Stewart] has been wrestling with for months. Whether it's time to make a decision to continue being Hannah Montana or just be a regular, ordinary girl.' Season four premieres 'in late spring' and will air throughout 2010-2011.

Im not really surprised that hannah montana is ending because most live televison shows end in its fourth season. They have been working on this show for 5 Years & Its had a sucessful run on disney channel just like "Thats So Raven" & "Lizzie Mcguire" and that show will go down in disney channel history as one of the top rated show:] so good luck to the cast in the future & hopefully they still entertain us in the future.

1 Promoting one of their past singles was my first hunch. However, Christmas is coming up, promoting a single that has 0% chance of being a hit again would be unwise. We should benefit from the fact they made a Christmas record, Acoustic Hearts of Winter.

2 Why not a different than one from Acoustic Hearts of Winter?
If we all download a different song from the album, the chances are slimmer either of them chart. Why "GTOY"? It has been a X-mas single, and radio will more likely pick that song up than some random song from the album.

3 Why do this at all?
The primary effect of this would be re-charting of their song "Greatest Time of Year". To be honest, this would be the only possible effect. High downloads don't automatically mean radio play, but see it as bigtime support!

Big congratulations to Los Angeles-based alternative rock band Capra, who inked a deal with Hollywood Records last week. The story, set in Jazz Age New Orleans, features Disney's first major African-American female lead and its most extensive black cast. It also is the first hand-drawn animated feature from the studio since 2004's Home on the Range.

Starting off in New Orleans, the film centers on hardworking waitress Tiana , who saves every dime in hopes of opening the restaurant that was the dream of her late father. Tiana is sidetracked by some dark magic after Prince Naveen, a jazz-loving dreamboat from a land far, far away, comes to sample the vibrant New Orleans music.

Naveen falls under the spell of voodoo practitioner Dr. Facilier, who turns the prince into a talking frog as part of a plan to unleash his evil "friends on the other side" in New Orleans.

The frog prince encounters Tiana dressed as royalty at a costume ball in the mansion of her childhood pal Charlotte and her genteel dad. The inevitable kiss Naveen talks Tiana into doesn't restore his human form, though. Rather, Tiana is transformed into a frog herself, and the two wind up pursued by Facilier's evil allies through swamp country.
